Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) is a skills framework being used by many recent learning science research to evaluate and develop 21st century skills. CPS tasks are joint activities where dyads or small groups execute a number of steps in order to transform a current state into a desired goal state. Our online platform offers gamified CPS tasks, where students collaborate with each other by communicating through text messaging and interacting with a virtual problem space. Everything they do and text on the task is processed and evaluated by our algorithms. Through the analysis of their behavior, we are able to measure students' cognitive and social skills. With our platform, students can practice and develop 21st century skills and educators can measure these hard to measure skills in order to assess students and the effectiveness of their pedagogical practices.
